FIRST AID TRAINING FOR INDIVIDUALS
FIRST AID AT WORK
This three-day comprehensive course will allow successful students to act as ‘First Aiders’ in the workplace under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. The course will cover the role of the first aider, how to record incidents compliantly and how to recognise and treat a variety of ailments. The course includes both theory and practical sessions. Having passed the assessments, students are certified for 3 years.
EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK
In this one-day course, our trainers will deliver a mix of theory and practical sessions in a relaxed environment, with a view to boosting learners' confidence in emergency first aid. It will include topics including the role of the first aider, incident reporting and reacting safely to an emergency, as well as responses to common emergencies including choking, wounds and bleeding, burns and emergency CPR.
FIRST AID INSTRUCTOR
This 4-day course gives students the understanding and confidence to deliver first aid and Automated External Defibrillation (AED) training. Once qualified, students can train approved first aid courses for appropriate companies and run AED and other first aid courses themselves. The course comprises training in first aid theory and practice, as well as teaching and assessment practice, including the chance to deliver ‘mini’ training sessions, with assessment and guidance given by the instructor.
